1st September 2022 at the stunning Caswell House in Oxfordshire Carly and Robbie had their beautiful wedding day. We love photography at Caswell House, it’s an exclusive traditional venue where you can spend your whole day and night along with your guests.
Caswell house has lovely two rooms at opposite ends of the site designed for each of you to have a space for getting ready. After we both said a quick hello to Carly Helen headed off to the groomens space to capture them getting ready at the same time. Splitting up like this means you have one of us right there with you up until the ceremony, including all the photos of your guests as they arrive and great each other. Once you get your gallery to each get to see exactly what the other one was up to at the same moment in time!
Gorgeous Florals
Every little choice made by the couple was so perfect for their day and especially the florals which were the perfect end of summer/coming into autumn colours and vibrancy.
What’s better than a confetti line? A confetti line on a vintage Vespa!
We were so excited when the found out Carly and Robbie would be doing their confetti run on the back of a vintage vespa! Walking backwards at high speed whilst taking photos is quite the wedding photographers skill but we are usually dealing with an ambling couple not a motor with a not very slow minimum speed! We decided to go for a two angle approach with Helen in front and Vicki behind next to Paul the videography. Definitely the funnest and most thrilling confetti line we’ve done (most of the guests had no idea what was coming)
Don’t rain on my parade
Despite the forecast lying and claiming no rain was coming just as we started formal group photos in the ground in came a large ominous black cloud….We managed to complete the family formals before a quick dash inside where we set up and finished off in the barn. It’s the UK, no matter your wedding date you can never guarantee a rain free day and a shower or two was never going to dampen Carly and Robbie’s day!
The Decor + Encore!
So many wonderful little personal touches to the decor including the RomCom themed tables. The absolutely stunning floral arch by Lottie at Wild Thoughts Florestry moved behind the head table and made a lovely backdrop to speeches.
It was just around this point that Helen suddenly realised (yes it took her that long) what their wedding hastag #Keepingitreal was all about…of course Robbie’s surname (and now Carly’s) is Keeping!
Let’s get ready to party!!!
We spent the whole of dusk grabbing couples photos and came back to see all the lights on and the party getting ready to start! The funnest cake cutting we’ve had.
Time for dancing! The Timberfolk band did an ace job at getting everyone up on the dance floor and check out Carly’s personalised jacket, perfect for swishing round the dancefloor in.
